Corporate Communion Sunday, 6th January at 10.15 am
We did not have a meeting in December, but we did have our Christmas Party at The Black Lion. After an enjoyable meal, the lunch was rounded off by singing a few Christmas carols. It was nice that some members from both the afternoon and evening groups were able to come and, as always, we were glad to welcome the loyal friends who support our events. I hope that everyone enjoyed the lunch as much as I did and I would like to thank Connie Mason for all her hard work as the main organiser of this very pleasant occasion.
I would also like to thank everyone who helped make Christingles. It's true that many hands make light work and it was great to have the help of St Mary's Club.
The subscription for next year will be £18 and it would be helpful if this could be paid at the January meeting, as we have to pay all subscriptions over to the diocese before the end of February. The next afternoon meeting will be on 21 January at 2.00pm at the Town Hall, when the speaker will be the new Methodist Minister, Revd Sue Altree.
The next evening meeting will be on 17 January at 7.30pm at the Vicarage, when Anne Edge will be giving us a talk on Hope House.
I wish you all a very happy New Year.
Yours in love and fellowship.
