Our May meeting was held on 16th April, 2pm at the Town Hall. At the meeting a talk "More about the Saints" was given by Mr Stan Parry. This was a carry on talk as Stan gave his first talk about "The Saints" last year and was back by popular request. His talk was most interesting telling of the life of St. Tudno, Melangell and St. Winifred.
Stan was thanked by Mrs Mavis Griffiths and was presented with a plant. Teas were served by Mrs Kath Meeks and Mrs Pam Edwards.

Our Deanery Festival was held on the 17th May, 2.30 at St. Andrews Church, Welsh Frankton by Kind invitation of our Deanery Leader Mrs Rosemary Horton.

It was a celebration service to mark the 140th Anniversary of the Mothers' Union movement. The Service was led by the Reverend Karen Davies, Rural Dean and herself a member of Mothers' Union. Mothers Union Diocesan President Mrs Sue Egerton attended and welcomed and enrolled seven new members into our Ellesmere Branch. After the service we were served a most delightful afternoon tea in Frankton Village Hall.

Our special 140 years Celebration event will be the Mothers' Union Coffee Morning, on Saturday 11 June at the Town Hall 10am - 12 noon, please come along to support us.

The Mothers' Union summer outing to Aberystwyth will be on June 20th, details from Mrs Connie Mason 01948 780309.

Our next meeting will be on July 18th, 2pm at the Town Hall with a talk "Team Albania" by Emily Digby.

With love,
