Monday 21st May our branch meeting was held at 2pm in the Town Hall with "I do like to be beside the Seaside" by the Rev. Jane Stephenson. Jane told us of the sculptor David Nash, who lives and works in North Wales. He sculptured a huge wooden boulder from a fallen oak tree relating its journey through rivers and wooded areas, through an estuary and all along it was being moulded and having chips grazed off it. Jane likened the boulder to being like us and the way our lives are shaped and moulded by life. Jane made her talk feel very personal to all of us and we were moved by it.
Our next meeting is on 16th July. You are all welcome to come along and bring your friends
Yours with love,
Ann and Donna
