St Mary's Parish Church Christmas Festive Coffee Morning and Grand Prize Draw

We held this again, one of our main annual fundraising events, this year at the Town Hall on 5th December. Our thanks go for the tremendous generosity of many local businesses and individuals in providing 43 quality prizes for the Draw. In addition we thank each of the stall-holders and their supporters for helping to make the venue very attractive and their valued contributions to the fundraising, it is easy to take contributors efforts for granted sometimes but we definitely do not! Equally the unsung heroes in the kitchen, those waiting on tables and dealing with those washing up bowls like the Sorcerer's Apprentices!

There was an excellent turnout again with coffee, mince pies and sherry provided for each entrance ticket. We just managed to seat everyone.

It was a happy social time with Fr Philip our vicar taking his usual excellent centre stage as Prize Draw master of ceremonies.

Thanks to everyone's efforts, not least our visitors, we raised over £1300 which is a great contribution to the running of our beautiful church.

Best wishes to all for a peaceful and happy Christmas and 2016.
