News from the Vicarage - September 2015

Dear Friends,

I hope that you have had a good summer, though the weather has not been that brilliant. And I also hope that those who have had their GCSE & A Level exam results have got what they hoped for.

I am now preparing to go off to the Ecumenical Community of Taize in France, which I am very much looking forward to. Ann Harris and Rebecca Gilman are accompanying me and I hope it will be an amazing experience for all us all. Expect more Taize style prayer and music when I get back!

Christian Aid Week 10-16 May. The Churches in Ellesmere are taking part in the street collections again this year. This is a daunting task each year and your help and support is much appreciated.

Dear Friends,

I wrote a little while ago to everyone on our church Electoral Roll asking for help to overcome our financial difficulties of a shortfall in the costs of the church ministry and mission of £12,000 per annum. Most people have responded generously and we have a significant increase in our Stewardship.
