In November we had a marvellous Remembrance Sunday Service marking the hundredth anniversary of the Armistice, the end of World War 1. So many uniformed organizations and cadets attended that the church was full.

I hope that you have had a good summer and enjoyed the wonderful weather that we have had. My garden was showing signs of drying up and becoming parched but recent rain has led to almost a full recovering of its greenness. One of the spin offs of the dry summer was that I didn't need to cut the grass so often.
But with September we get back into full swing of activities.

I am very grateful to all who took part in the 'Cherish you Church Yard week' in June. Our Church and churchyard were open to visitors 11th-16th June and many came. As well as the church being open, teas were served by a few dedicated people to many visitors, and there were a number of talks which were well attended.
